"Feels safer than a lot of dating apps"
I don’t remember every little detail, but I do remember feeling relieved after reporting a weird profile on happn. The report button was easy enough to find, and they handled it quickly. I’m sure I got an update afterward too, which made it feel like they weren’t just ignoring reports. So far, the moderation seems decent, and it makes me feel a bit safer using the app.

I’ve actually met a couple of nice people on happn, so I’d give it 4 stars. Not perfect, though. There are definitely some fake profiles here and there, and a few scammy chats where they try to get you off the app way too fast. Big red flag. Just be careful, trust your gut, and definitely don’t send anyone money

"Good mix of real people nearby"
I’ve actually had a good experience with happn. The gender balance feels a lot more fair than on some other dating apps, where it can feel really one-sided. Around me, there’s a decent mix of ages and backgrounds too, mostly just normal people nearby, which makes it easier to find someone easy to chat with. I also contacted support once and they were basically like, “give it a little time and keep your profile active,” which felt fair enough. Overall, I’m happy with it. 5 stars from me.

I mean, not much to complain about here — I can get into my account without any hassle. The login is quick, and I haven’t had it freeze up or randomly kick me out or anything. So far, it’s been dependable for me.

Happn is fine overall, but the account verification was kind of a hassle. Reading between the lines, I get why they do it, but it definitely took longer than I expected. I got through it in the end, just a bit annoying while it was happening

Getting my profile set up was quick and straightforward, which I appreciated. The only downside was that uploading photos felt a bit slow, so that was a little frustrating. Overall, not bad, but it could be smoother.

The app does what it’s supposed to do, but lately the ads pop up way too often and it gets really annoying. I also wish there was an actual person to contact when something bothers me instead of just feeling like I’m stuck with automated help or FAQs

"Decent idea, but the matches could be better"
Not gonna lie, I do like the idea behind Happn. It’s cool seeing profiles of people who are actually nearby, and some of them do seem real. But the match quality has been kind of hit or miss for me. A lot of people either don’t reply or seem like they’re barely active. I’ve had a few decent chats, but nothing that really stood out yet. It’s not a bad app, I just feel like it needs better or more active matches

"Photos got approved faster than I expected"
I uploaded my pics and, you know, totally calmly waited like a normal person. They ended up getting approved quickly, which was nice. No hassle or back-and-forth, just worked fine for me.

"Suspended out of nowhere and felt stupid for trusting them"
My account got suspended suddenly with no clear reason at first, and I felt stupid for trusting them as much as I did. The appeal process dragged on for days, which made it even more frustrating. They did finally explain what happened, but by then the whole experience had already left a bad taste

"The notifications don’t feel very useful to me"
For me, Happn sends way too many notifications, and most of them don’t seem to be about anything I actually care about. I’ll tap on one thinking it might be relevant, but it usually ends up being pointless. The app itself is okay, but in my experience, the alerts get annoying quickly.

"Quick and surprisingly easy chats"
I’ve been using it mostly in the evenings, usually with a cup of tea next to me, and the chats are really quick. Nothing feels clunky or confusing, which I appreciate because I don’t have much patience for apps that make simple things complicated. It just feels easy to jump in, ask something, and get a response without waiting around forever.

"Support actually got back to me fast"
I had an issue with my account, so I messaged happn support expecting to wait forever, as one usually does. To their credit, they replied faster than I thought they would and got it fixed after a couple of messages. I did have to explain the same thing twice, which was a little annoying, but I guess we got there in the end. They were polite and helpful overall, so good enough for me

"Pretty good in the city"
I would give happn 4 stars. Around where I live, the user base actually feels decent, especially in busier parts of town. I see new people pop up often enough that it does not feel empty or boring. The only downside is that when I travel to smaller towns, it gets quiet really fast. Still, it is a solid app if you are in a city.

"At first I was impressed…"
At first I was impressed with how accurate it was. Like, wow, this actually works really well. But then after a bit, it started feeling kind of creepy how much it seemed to know. I went from being excited to slightly weirded out fast. Still useful, just maybe a little too accurate for comfort.

I’ve found happn’s filters useful because they actually save me time. I can quickly adjust the distance or age range depending on what I’m looking for that day, and it doesn’t feel like I’m messing around with a bunch of confusing settings.
The biggest benefit is that I’m not stuck scrolling through profiles that are way too far away or not really relevant. It’s not flawless every single time, but it does make finding better matches feel faster and a lot more manageable.

"I used happn for a little while, mostly..."
I used happn for a little while, mostly during my commute and a few random evenings when I was bored, and the billing was easy to understand. When I decided to cancel my plan, it wasn’t a whole production or anything. No strange extra steps, no surprise charge afterward. It probably took about a minute, maybe less, so I don’t have any complaints.

"I tried the happn subscription for a month..."
I tried the happn subscription for a month, i was kind of surprised that it felt worth it. The price seemed fair for what I actually used it for, especially being able to see who liked me instead of sitting there guessing and overthinking everything. It’s definitely not some magical fix for dating, but it made the app feel way less frustrating and a lot easier to use. If I’m still on the app next month, I’ll probably keep it.
